Responsibility
•
Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and timely delivery of materials.
•
Ensure purchased items comply with Malaysian standards and regulatory requirements.
•
Prepare and submit applications to:
o
SIRIM (product certification, testing reports, labeling requirements)
o
Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) – Certificate of Approval (COA) for electrical products
o
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) – device certifications
•
Ensure timely renewal and tracking of all relevant certificates and licenses.
•
Maintain proper filing and documentation for all regulatory submissions and approvals.
•
Liaise with testing labs, consultants, and government officials where required.
•
Support internal and external audits related to product compliance and import controls.
Authority
•
Create Purchase Orders and Material Master.
•
Manage shipment arrangements from issuance of Purchase Orders to arrival at warehouse/site.
Role Requirements
• Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain or any related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing operations will be preferred.
• Mandarin proficiency (written/spoken) is essential for liaising with China/Taiwan based suppliers.
• Strong analytical, communication skills & attention to details.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
