Our client, a major EPC company, is looking for a Quality Inspector to work on an 2-month contract in Notrees, TX area


 
Play an integral role in driving quality excellence and consistency across our manufacturing operations. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure that every component, process, and product meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.


Purpose of the Role


You will be responsible for performing complex quality inspections and assessments across our manufacturing processes. This includes interpreting engineering drawings, verifying product conformity, and identifying areas for improvement in materials, methods, or workmanship. You’ll be the quality gatekeeper—ensuring that what we deliver is safe, compliant, and built to last.


Core Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on manufactured products, assemblies, and components to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and applicable codes or standards.
  • Apply advanced measurement and testing techniques to identify potential quality issues early in the process.
  • Document inspection results, maintain records, and report deviations to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and contractors to ensure consistent understanding of quality expectations.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of inspection processes, tools, and systems.
  • Support audits and quality investigations, providing data and insight to drive decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the operation.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and 7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing quality control or inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, processes, and tools—plus the ability to troubleshoot and guide others.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment when making quality decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and influence outcomes.
  • A mindset for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding team members is an advantage.
