Quality Inspector - Mechanical and Piping

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Inspector Mechanical and Piping, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the petrochemical, oil, and gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects in Germany while working closely with a dedicated construction management team.

Role Overview

  • Oversee daily Mechanical and Piping construction activities to ensure compliance with project codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Advise the Construction Manager on site quality requirements for the Construction Management Team, Contractors, Vendors, and Clients.

  • Assist in resolving site Mechanical and Piping Quality issues.

  • Approve incoming mechanical and piping materials and equipment by confirming specifications and conducting visual and dimensional checks.

  • Participate in Inspection and Test Plan inspections and ensure completion results are submitted to the Completions Management System.

  • Review and accept equipment, material, weld fit-up, welding, and NDT inspection records.

  • Advise on the preparation of Project Quality records for submission into the Completions Management System.

  • Support Project HSSE programs to ensure HSSE activities are performed and goals are met.

  • Monitor Contractor/Vendor performance to ensure Quality Control goals are achieved.

  • Support the Quality Lead as required.

  • Attend construction/Contractor/third-party meetings as necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified Welding Inspector certification.

  • Proficient in Automatic Welding Technology.

  • Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 implementation and compliance.

  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word.

  • Working knowledge of oral and written German and understanding of spoken English.

  • Ability to consult and communicate effectively with other disciplines and Contractors/Vendor personnel.

Education & Experience

  • Further education Quality level qualification preferred; experience and training levels will be considered alongside academic qualifications.

  • Quality certification in Welding and/or Non-Destructive Testing.

  • Experience in the petrochemical, oil, and gas industry in a Quality role with a proven technical background in Mechanical and Piping.
