Airswift is seeking a Radio Operator to work on a Contractor position for 3 months with an Oil and Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Comply with and enforce the “Permanent Orders of the Commander”;
- Perform tests on the equipment under your responsibility, respecting the required periodicity (SSB, VHF, UHF, EPIRB, SART, visual signaling equipment, etc.);
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of radio communication equipment and its accessories, such as antennas, batteries, converters, etc., according to the required periodicity;
- Record entries in the Radio Communications Logbook;
- Provide the Commander with weather forecasts, Notices to Mariners, communications from other vessels regarding emergencies, time signals, or any other communication that may be of interest to the vessel’s Command;
- Properly inform the Executive Officer of any defect that prevents the functioning of the vessel’s Radio Station equipment.
