Join our dynamic team as a Rotating Machinery Procurement Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in the procurement of cutting-edge rotating process machinery for a leading player in the refining, gas, and petrochemical industries. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in turbomachinery while working in Villeurbanne, France, on a full-time contract basis.

Role Overview

  • Drafting technical specifications for calls for tender.
  • Reviewing technical offers and conducting clarifications with suppliers.
  • Preparing technical comparison tables.
  • Preparing equipment requisitions for purchasing.
  • Following up supplier studies after order placement, verifying documents, and coordinating with other disciplines (process, installation, instrumentation, electricity, civil engineering, pressure equipment).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Turbomachinery expertise: In-depth knowledge of rotating machinery including compressors, fans, agitators, and pumps.
  • Fluent in English and French: Proficient in drafting documents and leading meetings in English and French.
  • Procurement skills: Strong background in procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Software proficiency: Experienced in using Word and Excel for documentation and analysis.

Education & Experience

  • Required Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) in general engineering or mechanical engineering, ideally with a turbomachinery specialization.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in rotating machinery and/or packages in refining, gas, or petrochemicals.
