Airswift has been tasked by a major Oil and Gas client looking for a Safety Relief Engineer to work in Spring, TX for 1 year assignment with benefits offered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop unit & flare Safety Relief Reviews (SRRs), which is an engineering evaluation of the safety systems that keep our process facilities safe performed in support of capital project development or consulting for a manufacturing site.
  • Consult & provide TQA (Total Quality Assurance) of site-performed SRR work, including those developed by 3rd parties.
  • Propose cost-effective mitigations for SRR findings.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments with Process Safety & Risk.
  • Support sites in maintaining evergreen Unit & Flare Models.
  • Perform and/or lead pressure relief system analysis in support of projects and site activities.
  • Responsible for delivering efficient and accurate process safety studies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemical Engineering and/or previous experience in a closely related position.
  • Software Experience: Process Safety Pressure Protection Measure (PSPPM) is a major plus.
  • 5-10 years' experience in the safety relief field.
  • Previous experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemicals industry.
  • Knowledge of Process Design fundamentals with respect to safety, including, overpressure scenario identification.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of distillation tower, pump and compressor operation and performance.
