sition Summary

h
e Sales Manager will lead business development and sales initiatives for The Company's Batam Branch. This position is responsible for expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets across engine services, mechanical and electronic solutions, and product & supply (P&S) trading. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within Batam’s maritime and industrial ecosystem, particularly shipyards, dockyards, and ship owners operating in Batam and surrounding islands.

y Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for Batam branch, covering Engine Maintenance
& Overhaul, Product & Supply, Spare Parts Trading, and other mechanical/electronic services.
Identify new business opportunities with shipyards, dockyards, ship owners, offshore operators, and industrial clients in Batam, Bintan, Karimun, and surrounding regions.
Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements in coordination with technical and operations teams.
Monitor project pipelines and ensure timely conversion of leads into confirmed orders.
2. Account Management
Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers in the marine and industrial sectors.
Conduct regular customer visits, technical discussions, and after-sales follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Coordinate closely with the Service, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution and invoicing of completed jobs.
3. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Gather and analyze market information, competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer requirements to support business planning.
Provide monthly sales forecasts, activity reports, and updates to management.

articipate in marketing activities, exhibitions, and seminars to enhance Company's visibility in Batam and regional markets.
4. Leadership & Coordination
Support recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of Batam sales staff (if applicable).
Collaborate with the Jakarta Head Office and regional The Company's network to pursue joint business opportunities and ensure alignment with company strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

du
ca
tion:

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
•
Business or Sales Management background is an advantage.
E
xperience:
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in technical or service sales within the marine or ship repair industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strong customer networks in Batam’s maritime sector.

amiliar with engine overhaul, mechanical/electronic repair services, and spare part/product supply.

kills & Attributes:
Strong connections with shipyards, dockyards, and ship owners in Batam and surrounding islands.
E
x
cellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Good understanding of marine engines related mechanical/electrical equipment.
H
igh initiative, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
