Airswift is seeking a Principal Project Controls Specialist to lead and manage advanced project controls functions for large-scale capital projects ranging from $100M to over $500M. This expert-level role involves developing reporting systems, performing complex estimating, scheduling, cost control, and change documentation, while mentoring other team members and supporting program or portfolio-level reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of project controls experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of project controls principles and practices.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical and computer application skills.
- Experience in employee development and team collaboration.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of project controls experience (or 5 years in lieu of degree)
- Working knowledge of project controls principles and scheduling/cost tools
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Strong analytical and communication skills; proven team collaborator
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Project Management.
- PMI or AACE certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, and PeopleSoft.
- Experience with risk management tools and Monte Carlo analysis.
