Our Oil & Gas partner is seeking an experienced Senior Analytics & Planning Advisor to provide technical governance and leadership across analytics and data processes. This role plays a key part in improving business efficiency, enhancing access to information, and strengthening the speed and accuracy of corporate and operational reporting.
About the Role
You will oversee analytics and data governance across the organisation, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant practices. Working closely with Technology, Operations, Finance, HR and Supply Chain teams, you will guide the strategic direction of analytics platforms, support risk mitigation, and champion best?practice reporting and data management.
Key focus areas include:
- Driving business efficiency through improved analytics processes and systems
- Enhancing information accessibility and reporting accuracy
- Ensuring alignment with HSE, regulatory and audit requirements
- Leading analytics governance, forums, communities of practice and stakeholder engagement
- Supporting strategic planning, budgeting and commercial strategies for analytics platforms
- Maintaining data quality, integrity and lifecycle management
- Building capability across teams and fostering a high?performance culture
About You
You bring deep expertise in analytics, data governance and enterprise reporting within complex environments. You’re a confident communicator, a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and passionate about enabling high?quality decision?making through robust data practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in Information Management, Information Systems or equivalent
- Experience in analytics and data
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI (essential); Microsoft Fabric and SAP Datasphere (desirable)
- Oil & Gas or consulting/professional services experience desirable
- Strong background in analytics architecture, data governance, solution design and IT governance
- Proven ability to analyse complex data environments and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail, integrity and commitment to quality outcomes
- Collaborative team player with a passion for continuous improvement
