We are seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist (Contract) to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, supporting commercial and legal contract excellence across Company’s portfolio of existing and new assets.

This role will play a critical part in the review, optimization, drafting, and administration of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment, consistency, and value creation across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial and Terms & Conditions review for existing and new agreements, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for standardization and optimization across Company assets.
  • Perform comparison, analysis, and summarization of contractual terms across multiple agreements and asset portfolios to support decision?making and negotiation strategies.
  • Draft, review, and issue new and amended Master Agreements, incorporating optimized commercial and legal terms and conditions aligned with Company standards and risk tolerance.
  • Collaborate with Legal, SCM, Operations, and Business Unit stakeholders to ensure agreements reflect business requirements while protecting Company’s commercial interests.
  • Support negotiations related to commercial terms, pricing structures, and contractual risk allocation.
  • Maintain ownership and administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle, including execution, amendments, renewals, and close?out.
  • Administer existing and new agreements within GEP and Maximo, ensuring data accuracy, document integrity, and compliance with SCM policies and governance requirements.
  • Ensure all contract activities are executed in accordance with Company’s SCM policies, standards, and delegated authorities.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contractual interpretation, obligations, and compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to contract templates, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

  • Related post?secondary education in business, supply chain management, law, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in contracts management, supply chain, or commercial roles within industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal terms & conditions, including Master Service Agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and compare complex contractual language across multiple agreements and assets.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to summarize and communicate key contractual risks and commercial impacts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with Legal, Operations, and Business Unit stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience administering contracts within GEP and Maximo is a strong asset.
  • Advanced analytical and documentation skills; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and digital tools (including Copilot) is considered an asset.
  • Experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas environments is preferred.
