Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Purpose
The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide expert electrical engineering support during the EPC and start-up phases of major projects, ensuring all deliverables meet operational expectations for safety, reliability, operability, and maintainability throughout the facility’s lifecycle. This role is critical in influencing project decisions to balance CAPEX and OPEX considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering expertise for design reviews, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Support development and implementation of surveillance programs for critical electrical systems to ensure reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
- Define and implement integrity programs for electrical equipment to maintain high safety and reliability standards.
- Provide technical input to multidisciplinary teams to support overall business objectives.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Mentor junior engineers in applying integrity and reliability systems.
- Manage project tie-in requirements and prepare discipline handover packages post start-up.
- Maintain an Issue Register to identify and resolve critical issues, including risks from new technologies.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities by optimizing electrical systems and advising operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in an oil and gas environment, with proven expertise in electrical engineering for large-scale projects.

- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering technical competencies.
