Join a leading player in the natural gas transmission and storage industry as a Senior Financial Controller. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your financial expertise to optimize management processes and contribute to the strategic direction of the organization, all while working in the vibrant city of Brussels, Belgium.
Responsibilities
Analyzing the performance of the group's activities (transport, storage, energy transition) to optimize management.
Maintaining active dialogue with stakeholders (local business controllers, budget managers, accounting, sales) to promote best practices and ensure effective control processes.
Managing the budgeting and forecasting process: planning, coordinating stakeholders, centralizing budgetary data, and preparing income statements and balance sheets.
Contributing to the preparation of half-yearly and annual reports.
Participating in the cost allocation process within a regulated market, collaborating closely with the Regulatory Department.
Contributing to annual reporting to regulatory bodies and new reporting requirements.
Performing punctual and recurring analyses of specific financial elements in collaboration with relevant departments.
Maintaining financial databases and hierarchies within SAP, BPC, and BW.
Actively contributing to the improvement of reporting, control, and planning processes, including software replacement.
Requirements
Master's degree in a financial-economic direction or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar financial controlling position.
Fluent in French and Dutch, with a good knowledge of English.
Strong financial analysis skills with thorough knowledge of financial reporting methods and accounting concepts.
Experience with SAP (FI/CO) and advanced proficiency in Excel (including macros).
Familiarity with financial planning tools such as SAP BPC.
Experience with Power BI for data visualization.
Ability to manipulate large datasets while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills to act as a reliable discussion partner.
