Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Inspection Engineer to join our Operations Expansion & Start-Up team. This role is critical in ensuring equipment integrity and operational readiness for major onshore projects. The successful candidate will develop and implement robust inspection plans, provide technical expertise, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee safe and seamless project start-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive inspection plans for OES projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Optimize inspection frequencies and costs while maintaining asset integrity.
Risk-Based Inspection (RBI):
Coordinate inspection activities based on RBI methodology and company policies.
Address identified issues promptly to ensure operational reliability.
Technical Analysis & Problem Solving:
Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and oversee corrective actions.
Support investigations into complex facility integrity threats and develop long-term solutions.
Vendor & Regulatory Coordination:
Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, and service providers to ensure quality and reliability of materials and equipment.
Interface with regulatory authorities and certification bodies to maintain compliance with codes and standards.
Contract & Budget Management:
Prepare technical specifications for inspection contracts and contribute to tender evaluations.
Assist in annual budget preparation and audits related to inspection services.
Safety & Compliance:
Participate in HAZOP studies and other technical assessments (RCFA, MOC, ALT).
Ensure adherence to safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in inspection methodologies.
Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 6 years in equipment inspection and assessment within oil & gas operations.
Proficient in RBI, corrosion control, and damage mechanisms.
Familiarity with NDT techniques (UT, MT, PT, RT) and advanced inspection technologies.
Knowledge of welding engineering and international codes/specifications.
Certifications:
API 510, 570, or 653 (as applicable).
Technical Skills:
Strong command of English (written and verbal).
Proficient in MS Office and inspection data management software (e.g., Meridium).
