Role Overview

  • Act as an independent Marine Engineer on various projects.
  • Deliver high-quality and cost-effective Marine Systems designs for SBM products.
  • Focus on the design of FPSOs and potentially Floating LNG products.
  • Manage occasional high workloads during project peaks.
  • Possibly undertake assignments in other project offices or shipyards globally.

Skills & Qualifications

  • In-depth experience in conceptual and detailed design of marine and production systems on floating units (FSOs, FPSOs, Oil & Gas Carriers, Chemical Tankers, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP).
  • Good interface knowledge with related disciplines such as Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory.
  • Experience working with Shipyards, Shipboard Operations, Marine Equipment Vendors, and Manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with the latest marine systems and equipment technology.
  • Knowledge of classification societies (ABS, DNV GL, BV, Lloyds) and HSSE policies.
  • Experience with review methods including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA HP/LP Reports, SIF Reports.

Education & Experience

  • MSc or BSc degree or equivalent in Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College or General Operational Technology (AOT).
  • At least 2 years of working experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design (preferably on Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed phases).
