Join our dynamic team as a Senior Mechanical Designer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions within the Machine Engineering sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service rebuild projects and customized solutions for a leading player in the manufacturing industry, all while working in the beautiful city of Karlstad, Sweden.

Role Overview

  • Act as Lead Engineer in machine discipline projects.

  • Prepare manufacturing documentation based on design specifications and customer requirements.

  • Design project-adapted components, new products, and technical solutions.

  • Participate in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and technical investigations.

  • Participate in customer meetings, both digital and on-site.

  • Provide technical support related to manufacturing issues to suppliers, both nationally and internationally.

  • Travel may be required for supplier inspections and customer visits.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in PDMS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.

  • Experience with PDM, COMOS, and MS Office is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge in mechanical design, technical drawings, applicable standards, and regulations.

  • Knowledge of pressure vessels is considered an advantage.

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken; Swedish and additional languages are a plus.

Education & Experience

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.

  • At least 5 years of experience in machine design or related field.

  • Experience in project management within technical projects and delivery of machinery.
