Key Job Accountabilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive metering plans, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate metering systems into facility designs that meet operational and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate installation, calibration, and testing of metering equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Conduct audits and inspections of metering systems to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Provide technical expertise relating to metering equipment integrity and support vendor engagement to ensure quality and reliability.
- Prepare technical specifications for metering-related contracts, define scopes of work, and participate in tender evaluations, budget preparation, and audits.
- Interface with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards; coordinate with vendors and external agencies for specialised metering technologies.
- Work with operations, engineering, and project teams to conduct risk assessments focused on safety, reliability, and environmental considerations.
- Stay updated on technological developments and industry best practices; recommend and implement innovative metering methods to improve system reliability and support efficient project start-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in instrumentation engineering, electronics engineering, or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
- Six (6) years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, process plant, or power generation environments.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience in flow measurement and metering.
- Competent in engineering software tools related to metering (e.g., flow calculation or flow computer applications).
- Knowledge of relevant ISO standards related to flow measurement.
Technical and Business Skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel and knowledgeable in relevant engineering software tools.
- Familiar with data management systems (e.g., Meridium or similar).
