About the Role
This role will act as focal point for the resolution of onsite piping issues during construction/commissioning phase, responding to Technical and Site Queries raised by site team and construction partners.
Position: Senior Piping Field Engineer
Location: Karratha
Project: Yuri Hydrogen
Indicative Term of Contract: 6 months
Roster: 2/1 (10.5 hour days)
Responsibilities
- Conduct review of mechanical and piping works to be undertaken in line with contract, code and good engineering practice.
- Prepare requisitions, conduct bid analysis and manage procurement of piping items required for site activities
- Prepare and manage scopes of work for subcontractors undertaking mechanical and piping works onsite
- Act as focal point for suppliers and subcontractors providing mechanical and piping goods and works
- Closeout of mechanical and piping activities/documentation to ensure full traceability is included in project records
- Conduct regular site visits (to Karratha) to assist site team
- May assist with the management of HVAC
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be Degree Qualified: B.Eng Mech/Piping etc.
- Strong piping knowledge (ASME B31.3)
- Project experience through construction and commissioning phase
- This role will be the on-site focal point for mech/piping TQs and SQs
- Role will likely transition to working commissioning activities such as pressure testing, line cleaning
