About the Role
This role supports the planned development of multiple offshore resource fields, with production expected to be processed at an established onshore facility. If approved, the work will help extend the operational life of the facility well into the future.
The project will require significant upgrades, including new systems to receive incoming gas, broad plant modifications to accommodate updated processing needs, and major improvements to environmental performance. These enhancements may involve modernising existing equipment, introducing a more efficient processing methods, and implementing cleaner power generation solutions.
Position: Senior Process Engineer - Browse
Location: Perth WA
Working days/hours: Monday to Friday, 40-45 hours a week
Contract duration: 24 months
Start date: Preferably ASAP
Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
Responsibilities:
You will work to understand existing plant design and operations while helping optimize future development opportunities. Key responsibilities include: -
- Using process modelling to assess how new feed gas will affect facility performance.
- Working closely with project, operations and engineering teams to identify required plant modifications and explore environmental and decarbonisation improvements.
- Supporting contractor studies by defining scopes of work, overseeing delivery and reviewing technical outputs.
- Contributing to decision-making through formal documentation, including notes, reports and decision logs.
- Collaborating within a multidiscipline environment and engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing process engineering inputs to the facility’s Basis of Design.
This role is suited to someone interested in following a major project from pre-FEED phase through to FEED, and execution phases.
Experience & qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Process Engineering within the oil and gas industry, with specific experience in HYSYS, LNG and/or KGP preferred.
- Previous experience in conceptual engineering (Concept Select, Concept Definition, Pre-FEED) would be beneficial.
- Ability to integrate with multiple stakeholders, manage uncertainty and risk-based decision making.
