Airswift is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work on a permanent contract in Guyana, in a company that offers pre-commissioning services for FPSOs.
The senior project engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of large-scale projects. The Senior project engineer must be able to effectively manage the teams while also providing technical guidance on how to best approach each phase of the project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As required on smaller projects, act as the lead engineer and manage the input of multi-discipline engineering and design teams
Provide direction and mentorship to entry-level engineers
Provide technical support to junior engineers throughout the duration of a project
Conduct regular progress meetings with team members to identify and resolve issues
Coordinate with clients to develop design specifications to meet their needs
Provide technical support for projects including planning, organization, and oversight
Create and update engineering drawings, diagrams, schematics, blueprints, etc.
Monitoring progress towards project milestones and adjusting to ensure on-time completion
Assisting clients in selecting materials and equipment that meet their needs while staying within their budget constraints
Analyzing designs to ensure that they meet industry standards and regulations
Creating and updating project documentation such as time sheets, progress reports, and material inventories
Maintaining equipment inventories, ordering supplies, and providing technical support for equipment use
Provides technical and administrative project management support during the Execution stage
Create or assist in the creation of test procedures for new products
Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are tracking to plan and are well-defined and maintained
Drive routine project status and test results to the client
Support the development of direct and support corporate requirements (performance appraisals, succession planning)
Monitor the execution of the customer’s project order, verifying execution of the project through kick-off meetings, communication to all parties, and exchange of technical requirements and project plan information
Inspects construction site daily and works with contractors to schedule deliveries
Identify process improvement activities and provide support for implementation which drive efficiency and safety
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Architecture
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry with extensive technical knowledge.
Experience in technical coordination of project teams.
