Role Purpose
This role supports the expansion of the organisation’s presence in the mining and minerals sector within the East Coast. It involves delivering a range of technical, design, and coordination responsibilities, including:
- Conducting detailed structural analysis and design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability.
- Evaluating material behaviour and performance under construction?stage conditions.
- Developing and advising on construction methodologies and sequencing in collaboration with site teams and contractors.
- Working closely with engineers, designers, and external consultants to deliver integrated and coordinated solutions.
- Reviewing technical reports, drawings, and design calculations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assisting with tender preparation and contributing to securing new work opportunities.
- Liaising with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Applying project management principles to complete assigned tasks to the required standard and within agreed timeframes.
- Preparing and reviewing technical documentation and reports.
- Identifying and managing technical and commercial risks on behalf of the organisation and its clients.
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments.
- Ensuring all work complies with applicable legislation, standards, and internal systems.
- Representing the organisation professionally and building confidence with clients and external stakeholders.
About You
You will play a key role within the structural engineering team, applying your technical expertise across a variety of studies and project phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of Australian standards and construction safety requirements.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
- Demonstrated capability in developing practical, buildable solutions within site constraints.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly when working with site-based teams and contractors.
- A proactive, hands-on problem?solving approach.
