Role Overview
- Create designs that meet safety, reliability, and sustainability standards.
- Choose appropriate methods and procedures for design execution.
- Utilize software tools to depict designs clearly for interpretation by others.
- Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Lead Designer to ensure design intent is understood.
- Proactively plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed time frames.
- Identify and escalate unresolved issues to minimize delays.
- Apply lessons learned to understand change impacts within project boundaries.
- Collaborate with Package Engineers for timely review of vendor documents.
- Start leading designers on assigned scope of work and may act as Lead Designer.
Skills & Qualifications
- Topsides Design: Expertise in topsides design within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of international codes, company standards, and industry regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with design software tools for accurate depiction of designs.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Planning Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage deliverables within project timelines.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve design conflicts proactively.
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- Experience of 5 to 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
