Airswift is looking for a Senior Tax Advisor to support a major client in Houston, TX on a 12-month assignment
This person will comply with the company federal and state tax calculation and reporting requirements. Propose tax strategies to support company’s financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Tax research, calculation and reporting for Eni’s U.S. operations. Includes federal income tax reporting for multiple U.S. groups and multiple state income and franchise returns for members of the U.S. group.
Monitor changes in tax law and modify company policies and procedures accordingly.
Support and train other staff
Provide tax advisory services to internal entities as needed
Ensure that company complies with all tax and information reporting obligations.
Will interface internally with financial and operations group
Will interface externally with
Federal and state taxing authorities, and independent auditors.
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years’ experience working with corporate federal and state taxation. Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting, and either an advanced degree in accounting and taxation or certification as a certified public accountant.
Knowledge of oil and gas tax specialties
Requires skills in consulting, fact finding, logical thinking and problem solving
State & Local income and franchise taxes
State & Local sales & use taxation
Federal & State excies taxation
Good verbal and written communication skills
Sound tax research capabilities
Experience working with Microsoft Office products
Experience working with online tax compliance software.
