We are seeking a skilled Site Construction Engineer to lead and manage construction activities for a significant Dewatering Cyclone project in the mining industry, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Role Overview
- Monitor construction contractors to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and compliance specifications.
- Implement safety policies and procedures on-site and throughout the project team.
- Verify timely completion and filing of quality deliverables by the construction contractor.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the construction contractor, addressing site issues as they arise.
- Track construction progress against the project schedule and participate in short-term planning meetings.
- Oversee contractor implementation of the project quality plan and ensure proper filing of quality artifacts.
- Communicate project progress, costs, and issues with the project controls team based in Brisbane.
- Manage logistics of equipment and materials to and from site.
- Maintain the project construction risk register and implement risk mitigation actions.
- Serve as custodian of construction quality documentation from the contractor.
- Manage TQ and RFI registers as the site point of contact for engineering.
- Lead the owner's site team and act as construction manager when required.

Education & Experience
- Essential: Bachelor of Engineering or Construction Management.
- Essential: Minimum 10 years of project management, project engineering, or project planning experience.
- Desirable: Minimum 5 years' experience in a mining environment leading multi-disciplined teams.
