About the Role
This role is field?focused and ideal for someone who thrives in remote site environments and is passionate about ecology, environmental compliance, and mine closure practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site?based environmental management activities that align with mine closure objectives and regulatory commitments.
- Undertake fauna assessments, with a focus on habitat evaluation for the Gouldian Finch.
- Conduct field?based inspections and verifications under the Ground Disturbance Procedure (GDP).
- Assist with the processing, tracking, and administration of GDP permits.
- Maintain accurate environmental records, monitoring data, and reporting inputs.
- Utilise ArcGIS Pro for mapping, spatial analysis, and environmental data management (highly regarded).
About You
- Background in environmental science, ecology, biology, natural resource management, or similar.
- Experience working in remote field environments, preferably within mining, rehabilitation, or large?scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of fauna assessment techniques and habitat condition evaluation.
- Understanding of GDP or similar disturbance?management processes.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro is highly desirable
