Airswift is seeking an experienced Stick-Built and Modular Steel Structures Designer to support the NZT Carbon Capture project. The role focuses on the design and coordination of modular and stick-built steel structures, including pipe racks, buildings, and associated steel frameworks within a large EPC environment.

Airswift is seeking an experienced Stick-Built and Modular Steel Structures Designer to support the NZT Carbon Capture project. The role focuses on the design and coordination of modular and stick-built steel structures, including pipe racks, buildings, and associated steel frameworks within a large EPC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce guide plans for pipe racks, modular structures (RAPs & UAPs), building frameworks, and miscellaneous steel structures.
- Develop façade and roof layouts, including roofing and cladding systems.
- Design and detail specific modular fastening systems required for steel frameworks.
- Prepare and apply company construction standards and project design rules.
- Review and verify structural drawings issued by the discipline and consolidate comments from other engineering disciplines.
- Coordinate and integrate client, vendor, and specialist feedback into final design deliverables.
- Ensure interface coordination between civil/structural and neighbouring disciplines.

- Engineering and study standards
- Unit layouts, plot plans, and building guide plans
- Structural drawings and general planning documents
- Project coordination and document control procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Steel Structures / Steel Frame Designer within industrial or EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial facilities, modular construction, and steel framework design.
- Ability to manage upstream and downstream interfaces across multiple disciplines.
- Solid understanding of project procedures, document circulation, and design workflows.
- Experience working to project standards, rules, and study instructions.
- Strong coordination skills with adjacent engineering disciplines.
- Ability to read and understand technical English documentation.
- Capable of technical reporting to the Head of the Calculation Section
