Role Purpose
This role supports the organisation’s growth in the mining and minerals sector. It involves undertaking a broad range of technical, design, and coordination responsibilities, including:
- Performing detailed structural analysis and design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability.
- Evaluating material behaviour and performance during construction phases.
- Developing and advising on construction methodologies and sequencing in collaboration with site teams and contractors.
- Working closely with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver integrated and coordinated engineering solutions.
- Reviewing technical reports, drawings, and design calculations to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.
- Supporting tender preparation and contributing to securing new project opportunities.
- Liaising with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
- Preparing and reviewing technical documentation and reports.
- Assisting in identifying and managing technical and commercial risks for both the organisation and its clients.
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, internal procedures, and quality systems.
About You
You will play a vital role within the structural engineering team, applying your expertise across a range of studies and project phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant post?graduation experience as a structural engineer.
- Strong understanding of Australian standards and construction safety requirements.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software with the ability to produce clear, accurate engineering documentation.
- Demonstrated experience developing practical, buildable solutions within site constraints.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly in site?focused environments.
- A proactive and hands?on approach to solving engineering challenges.
