The Role
Airswift’s Paris office is recruiting a Subsea Commissioning & Baseline Coordinator for a major deepwater offshore project with FPSO.
This position is a senior coordination and technical authority role within the Subsea / Field Operations team. You will be responsible for overseeing the testing, commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness of subsea equipment, working closely with project teams, contractors, and operations stakeholders.
At a later stage of the project, the role will evolve into an offshore FPSO rotation, supporting final integration, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Key Responsibilities
Subsea Commissioning & Start-up
Coordinate
testing, commissioning, and start-up
activities for subsea equipment, including:
- Xmas Trees
- Production and injection manifolds
- FLETs and ILTs
- Subsea control systems (hydraulic and electrical)
- Act as the
Operations representative
during commissioning and integration phases
Testing & Integration
Participate in and witness:
- FAT / eFAT
- SIT / IFAT
- Onshore and offshore commissioning activities
- Ensure testing programs are executed in accordance with specifications, operational requirements, and Interface Agreements
Punch List & Handover
- Manage
punch lists
generated during testing campaigns
- Ensure proper follow-up and closure of punch items in
commissioning databases
- Ensure structured handover between engineering, commissioning, and operations teams
Operations Readiness & Maintenance Baseline
- Coordinate the subsea inspection and maintenance baseline
- Support the development of maintenance strategies, procedures, and spare parts lists
- Participate in the preparation of subsea commissioning and operations procedures
- Provide training to O\&M contractors and operating personnel
Offshore Phase (FPSO)
- Perform duties in offshore FPSO rotation
- Act as the subsea operations authority
- Coordinate subsea offshore activities and vessel interventions
- Act as Operating Authority under the Permit to Work (PTW) system
- Support the Offshore Field Manager on production and performance matters
HSE
- Ensure compliance with HSE rules and procedures by all stakeholders and contractors
Profile
Education
- Engineering degree or equivalent (Subsea, Offshore, Mechanical, or related discipline)
Experience
- At least
15 years’ experience
in Oil & Gas projects
At least
10 years’ experience
in :
- Subsea equipment testing
- Commissioning
- Start-up activities
Proven experience on:
- Deepwater projects
- FPSO environments
- Subsea contractors and operations interfaces
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in subsea production systems
- Solid understanding of commissioning processes and tools
- Experience with commissioning databases and punch list management
- Strong operational and HSE awareness
Soft Skills
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Well-organized, structured, and solution-oriented
- Comfortable working in multicultural and high-pressure project environments
