Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Installation & Commissioning Engineer to support the installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover of subsea systems for a major offshore development project.

The role requires a senior professional with strong subsea installation expertise, hands-on offshore experience, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary, multicultural project team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support installation and commissioning of subsea structures, flowlines, umbilical, risers, jumpers, spools, and control systems.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure safe, efficient execution and smooth handover to operations.
  • Review EPCIC contractor procedures to ensure they meet scope, technical, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Follow up on construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities to support completions and documentation.
  • Monitor contractor plans, schedules, progress, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Review daily reports for accuracy and highlight any issues.
  • Identify and communicate risks or issues affecting quality or schedule.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, procedures, guidelines, and drawings.
  • Demonstrate strong HSE leadership and ensure safe execution of all activities.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and overall HSE standards.

Requirements

  • 15+ years’ experience, including 10+ years in subsea installation and commissioning.

  • Degree in Engineering/Technology (MSc, BEng, BSc or equivalent).

  • Strong offshore field experience in subsea installation and commissioning.

  • Prior experience with major offshore projects; Operator-side experience is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of IMCA D044, API 17 series, DNV-ST-N001, DNV-ST-F101.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Willing to travel offshore and relocate internationally.

Location & Mobility:

  • Based in Shenzhen during installation (offshore trips required).

  • Able to mobilize to Yangon, Myanmar with the management team during commissioning.
