Subsea Technical Manager

Location: La Défense, Paris 
Contract: 12 months (renewable) 
Rotation / Set up: Monday to Friday 
Expected starting date: As soon as possible 

Join our dynamic team as a Subsea Technical Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in the execution of cutting-edge subsea projects for a leading player in the oil and gas industry. Based in the vibrant city of Paris, France, this full-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in subsea engineering and project management.

Role Overview

  • Lead subsea project execution from engineering through fabrication, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Coordinate technical activities and manage interfaces across various disciplines including Installation and Operations.
  • Oversee the preservation, storage, and maintenance of subsea equipment.
  • Manage a small team of up to 5 resources to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Represent the project with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Review and validate contractor documentation while identifying and managing technical risks.
  • Define and assess technical change orders to ensure compliance with international standards and company specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Subsea Cable Installation: Expertise in subsea cable installation processes.
  • Subsea Engineering: Strong understanding of subsea engineering principles.
  • Package Management: Proficient in managing subsea packages including SPS, Umbilicals, and Distribution Systems.
  • Technical Coordination: Experience in leading technical coordination or package lead roles.
  • Interface Management: Skilled in managing interfaces across multiple disciplines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; French and Portuguese are a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in subsea project execution with deepwater experience; at least 5 years in technical coordination or package lead roles.
