Overview

We are currently supporting a major energy client on a large-scale offshore development and are looking to engage a SURF Flow Assurance Engineer to join the team.

This is a key position within a high-profile project, offering the opportunity to work on complex deepwater subsea systems and contribute to critical technical decisions across the project lifecycle.

Role Responsibilities

As a Flow Assurance Engineer, you will play a leading role in ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea production systems, including:

  • Leading flow assurance studies for SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines) systems
  • Performing steady-state and transient simulations (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, etc.)
  • Managing risks related to hydration, wax, asphaltene, scaling, and slugging
  • Supporting design and optimisation of subsea production and transportation systems
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (subsea, process, reservoir, operations)
  • Providing technical input into FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases
  • Reviewing contractor deliverables and ensuring compliance with project standards
  • Contributing to operability, start-up, and troubleshooting strategies

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with experienced professionals who bring:

  • Extensive experience in flow assurance engineering within SURF projects
  • Proven background working on deepwater or complex offshore developments
  • Strong expertise in simulation tools (OLGA highly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of thermal, hydraulic, and multiphase flow behaviour
  • Experience across project phases (FEED, EPC, operations support)
  • Ability to work in an international, fast-paced project environment
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline
