Join our dynamic team as a SW Installation Engineer (S-Lay) and play a pivotal role in the engineering aspects of Shallow Water Pipelay and Umbilical Lay for a groundbreaking LNG facility project. Role Overview
- Ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery of the S-lay related elements of the EPCI scope of work while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor and manage all facets of work within the SW scope to meet or exceed schedule, technical, quality, and HSES requirements.
- Oversee a readiness process for progressive preparation by both contractor and company towards site activities.
- Identify and report issues that pose significant threats to the project along with proposing mitigating measures.
- Provide reporting functions to the Shallow Water Lead for SW rigid pipelines installation activities.
- Define, monitor, and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
- Ensure compliance of all S-lay installation activities with project technical requirements.
- Conduct marine spread inspections, vetting, and follow-up activities with MWS engagement.
- Manage impacts of co-activities through effective interfacing.
- Identify and resolve technical interfaces efficiently with other discipline engineers.
- Collaborate with the project HSE department to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements.
- Uphold high standards of Quality Assurance and Control for shallow-water pipelay activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in engineering large-scale EPCI contracts with significant S-Lay installation experience.
- Ability to assess and analyze installation spreads and contractors’ capabilities effectively.
- Knowledgeable in offshore installation aspects related to pipeline and structure installation.
- Proficient in overseeing interfaces with deep-water installation vessels and offshore construction works.
- Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in an international/multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities and capacity to work within a small, flexible team.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability for deliverables.
- Skilled in managing interfaces between multiple contractors.
- Ability to foster collaborative problem-solving relationships with contractors.
- Fluency in English.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; geotechnical civil or mechanical engineering preferred.
- BOSIET and OGUK qualifications are required.
- Experience in relevant engineering roles.
