Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer

Overview

We are currently recruiting Systems and Safety Assurance Engineers to work on passenger rail projects on the east coast. Mid level to Senior Engineers are encouraged to apply. Prior rail experience is required. 

Location-          Brisbane, QLD

Duration-          Permanent, Monday-Friday, Standard Hours

Salary-             $120,000 - $160,000 + Super

Benefits-           Hybrid 2 days WFH

Responsibilities

• Producing works associated with Systems Engineering and Safety assurance including but not limited to:

  • Safety Assurance

  • Systems Engineering

  • Requirements Management

  • System Architecture development

  • Goal Structured Notation

  • Systems Integration

• Develop Safety Case Reports, Assurance plans, Hazard/Safety Analyses

• Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures.

• Assist in Tender preparation

• Display a deep understanding of safety assurance in the context of conventional or modern signalling systems, working with a range of OEMs and operators.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards incl.

  • EN 50126/8/9

  • ISO 15288

    or;

  • AS61508

• Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders including operators, government, contractors

Required Experience

• Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar
• 4+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering posts, ideally within signalling projects.
• Prior use of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS Classic or NG
• Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication
• Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x
• Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook
