Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in the latter stage of a project lifecycle to deliver high-quality services on rail projects throughout SEQ in the leadup to the 2032 Olympics.
Ideally this will be someone who has considerable V&V experience, that has used either DOORS Classic or NG. You will provide authoritative guidance on best practices in V&V across all stages of the system lifecycle. Ability to obtain RPEQ is required, as is a requirement to be based in Brisbane. Systems Engineers from defence with no prior rail experience are still encouraged to apply.
Location- Brisbane, QLD – Relocation package available from within Australia
Duration- Permanent, full-time
Salary- $10,000 - $170,000 + Super
Hours- Monday-Friday Hybrid – 1-2 days WFH.
Responsibilities
Lead development and delivery of systems engineering deliverables as per client requirement e.g. V&V plans, config management plans and strategies
Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures.
Manage traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
Execute validation activities, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
Prepare V&V reports and evidence packages.
Assist in tender production, work-winning / client engagement
Mentor junior staff (senior role)
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar (Must be able to obtain RPEQ)
- 4 – 10+ years Systems Engineering experience
Knowledge of relevant standards:
- EN 50126/8/9
- IEC 61508
- ISO 15288
- Understanding of full Systems Engineering V-Lifecycle / INCOSE handbook standards
- Familiar with DOORS / DOORS NG or other requirements engineering tools
- An understanding of Safety Assurance, Human Factors and RAM is desirable
- Australian working rights – Australian Citizen, PR or Visa holder
