TAG Coordinator
Location: Singapore (Onshore)
Project: Sakarya FPU
Reports To: Engineering Manager / Information Management Lead
Position Overview
The TAG Coordinator is responsible for managing, validating, and controlling all engineering tag data across the Sakarya FPU project. This includes ensuring accurate tag creation, alignment across all engineering disciplines, consistency in data systems, and proper linkage to engineering and vendor deliverables. The TAG Coordinator plays a key role in supporting engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities through accurate and well-governed tag information.
Key Responsibilities
Tag Data Management
- Maintain and govern the Master Tag Register (MTR/MTL) in compliance with project standards and GOE coding rules.
- Create, validate, and approve new tags according to project numbering conventions.
- Ensure consistent tag use across all engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Process, etc.).
Cross?Functional Coordination
- Act as the central point of contact for tag-related issues between Engineering, Document Control, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
- Coordinate tag alignment between engineering systems (EDW/SPF/Aveva) and commissioning tools (e.g., WinPCS, Smart Completions).
- Ensure tags are correctly linked to relevant engineering deliverables (P&IDs, SLDs, equipment lists, data sheets).
Data Quality & Integrity
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of tag data.
- Resolve discrepancies between engineering databases, vendor documents, and commissioning systems.
- Support data clean-up, tag standardization, and project governance activities.
Systems & Technical Support
- Maintain tag datasets across project data systems, including EDW or other IM environments.
- Ensure proper metadata, tag attributes, and tag-to-document relationships are consistently maintained.
- Support the digital handover process by ensuring tag datasets are complete and compliant with Operations requirements.
Vendor & Documentation Interface
- Review vendor deliverables to ensure all equipment is properly tagged.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain missing or updated tag information.
- Ensure tag references are correct within VDRs and MDR-linked documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Data/Information Management, or related field.
Experience
- 3–7 years working in EPC/EPCI or Oil & Gas environments.
- Proven experience in tag management, engineering data, or IM-related roles.
- Experience with FPSO/FPU/Offshore Projects is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with engineering data systems (SPF, Aveva, EDW, E3D, or similar).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, SLDs, equipment lists, instrument indexes).
- Strong understanding of tag numbering conventions and engineering data governance.
Soft Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy discipline.
- Strong communication and coordination ability across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict project milestones.
