Join our dynamic Tax department in Brussels, Belgium, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and optimizing tax strategies for a leading player in the energy sector. As a Tax Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in VAT and taxation to make a significant impact on our operations.
Role Overview
- Preparation of tax returns and monitoring of accounting operations from a tax perspective.
- Preparation and follow-up of VAT returns.
- Monitoring and auditing of accounting accounts within the Belgian entities.
- Ensuring compliance with tax obligations for Belgian companies in the group.
- Verification of tax and customs aspects of goods and services between companies.
- Application of the correct transfer pricing policy.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal clients' tax matters.
- Implementation and development of ICT Tax applications.
- Identification and proposal of advance corporate tax payments.
- Participation in tax audits.
Skills & Qualifications
- Fluency in French, with good knowledge of Dutch and English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with VAT, corporate income tax, and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with customs/excise aspects is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with precision and efficiency.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Tax or equivalent experience.
- Strong interest and initial experience in taxation.
