The Role

Airswift’s Paris office is recruiting a Senior Telecommunication Systems Engineer for a major LNG Onshore project, based in Nanterre.

You will be involved in the design and implementation of industrial telecommunication systems, working closely with project teams, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Define telecom system architectures and block diagrams
• Prepare telecommunication technical specifications
• Follow-up Material Take-Offs (cables, power distribution, cabinets, etc.)
• Interface with existing telecommunication systems
• Prepare telecommunication layouts (CCTV, PAGA, etc.)
• Carry out technical bid evaluations and comparisons
• Review vendor documentation and supplier offers
• Manage technical correspondence with vendors
• Participate in installation and validation activities of telecom systems
• Report progress and technical issues to the Lead Engineer

Profile

• Education: Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in Telecommunication Systems engineering, ideally on Oil & Gas / LNG onshore projects
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of industrial telecom systems:
    PAGA, Hotline, Telephone Systems, CCTV, UHF TETRA, VHF Marine Radio, Fiber Optic Networks, LAN, Wireless Systems, ACS, Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes: ISA, IEC, ATEX
  • Good understanding of installation and validation aspects
• Software: MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio), AutoCAD
• Languages: Fluent English (contract language), French is a plus
• Soft Skills: Autonomous, well-organized, strong communication skills, used to working in multidisciplinary project environments
