About the Function

Woodside’s KGP team is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Planning Team. This Perth-based role offers regular travel to site and the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team focused on reducing asset risk and supporting operational and turnaround activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Apply technical judgment to select appropriate electrical work for maintenance campaigns
  • Provide engineering support for planned maintenance, including MOCs and STC workpacks
  • Assist with Capex projects and PSRA remediation
  • Optimize maintenance strategies in line with evolving ARP
  • Respond to engineering queries for recurring and corrective workflows
  • Screen Maintenance Notifications as delegated
  • Manage electrical Safety & Environmental Critical Elements per relevant procedures
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for significant defects or failures
  • Support Electrical Technical Authority with technical matters
  • Participate in incident investigations and reporting
  • Evaluate feedback from Execution Engineering Team and identify improvements
  • Provide backfill support for Frontline and Execution Engineering Teams
  • Share learnings with discipline peers

Skills & Experience

  • Achieved “ENG” competency per Engineering Management Procedure
  • Capable of achieving PSM Knowledge Level Competency
  • Strong understanding of MOC, risk identification, and assessment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Previous production engineering experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Estimated 45 days of site travel over the 12-month contract
  • Site hours may vary during Turnarounds
  • This role supports both operational needs and turnaround activities
