About the Role
Airswift is seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer for a 12-month contract with potential extension. This Perth-based role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance operational and technical engineering skills while working on a wide range of rotating equipment in a multi-discipline team. You will develop fit-for-purpose solutions to address facility risks and ensure safe, reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex plant modifications to reduce safety, environmental, regulatory, and financial risks to ALARP.
- Provide technical input for equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, maintenance strategies, and work planning.
- Participate in HAZOP/LOPA workshops, ART forums, and incident investigations.
- Manage external service providers for multi-discipline projects, including scope definition, budget approval, assurance reviews, and schedule tracking.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver practical engineering solutions and support planning engineering via maintenance strategies, procedure updates, and queries.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in a technical Rotating Equipment Engineer capacity.
- Extensive experience with industrial rotating machinery, including gas turbines (heavy duty and aeroderivative), compressors (centrifugal, axial, reciprocating), and pumps.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas operations.
- Strong process safety knowledge and understanding of management of change, risk identification, and assessment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and coach junior engineers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
