Job Summary

The role involves operating field equipment and wells while consistently applying operational procedures and safety standards. The position supports daily production activities, ensures equipment reliability, assists in maintenance coordination, and upholds compliance with operational and safety requirements. The individual will also work closely with other team members to maintain smooth operations across well sites.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and well systems in alignment with operational plans and safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to daily housekeeping and safety initiatives.
  • Participate in toolbox sessions and scheduled safety discussions.
  • Monitor wells and field equipment to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks as part of equipment care responsibilities.
  • Report issues related to alarms, emergency systems, or shutdown mechanisms.
  • Provide clear and detailed shift?change updates to maintain continuity.
  • Oversee maintenance tasks aligned with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
  • Log all significant field events, abnormalities, and deviations.
  • Collect samples for laboratory evaluation and conduct field?based testing.
  • Take part in emergency response activities.
  • Submit incident reports and escalate matters according to internal guidelines.
  • Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed of all operational activities.
  • Maintain strong communication within the team to support efficient issue resolution.
  • Provide essential well performance and condition details.
  • Ensure thorough well diagnostics before requesting intervention work.
  • Verify that wellhead and surface equipment meet requirements before handoff to intervention teams.
  • Support ongoing well intervention activities as needed.

Basic / Required Qualifications

  • Completed secondary education.
  • Prior experience in field operations as a Field Technician.
  • Background in upstream production, process operations, or similar non?refinery environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental practices.
  • Experience with pipeline systems.
  • Familiarity with operational and safety management systems.
  • Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Understanding of project philosophy and engineering specifications.
  • Awareness of applicable regulations and commercial agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across production operations, midstream environments, tank battery facilities, compressor stations, or onshore fields.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong safety mindset.
  • Ability to diagnose well production issues and communicate findings.
  • Ability to manage documentation accurately through logs, reports, and daily records.
  • Capacity to work with maintenance teams on scheduled and unscheduled work.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
