Position: Welding Engineer
Location & Conditions
- Location: United Kingdom (resident status).
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with missions to Iraq (4 weeks).
- Start Date: March 2026.
- Duration: 24 months
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all welding activities comply with international codes, project specifications, and best engineering practices.
- Supervise and review technical documentation (WPS, WPQR, testing, audits) during detailed engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Act as the focal point for welding-related technical matters, liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Participate in inspections, qualifications, and special processes such as heat treatment and cladding.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proposing cost-optimized solutions without compromising quality and safety.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in oil & gas projects, including 10 years as Welding Engineer on large-scale projects.
- Education: International Welding Engineer diploma (IIW, EWF, ESSA) and a degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or related field).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with codes such as ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, ASME BPVC.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
