Industrial Safety Engineer / Risk Quantification

Role Overview
A major engineering organisation is seeking an Industrial Safety Engineer with strong capabilities in risk quantification to support safety studies across large industrial projects. The role involves contributing to quantitative risk assessments, safety engineering deliverables, and project coordination activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct industrial safety studies and quantitative risk assessments for ongoing engineering projects.
- Perform modelling of hazardous phenomena, including toxic dispersion, thermal radiation, and overpressure scenarios.
- Produce risk modelling reports, safety calculations, Bow-Tie analyses, and ATEX classification documents.
- Participate in coordination meetings, project reviews, and the preparation of technical documentation.
- Ensure all deliverables follow required project tools, formats, and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with internal HSE rules, participate in toolbox talks, and contribute to HSE reporting.
Required Skills & Competencies
? Mandatory Competency – at least ONE of the following:
1. Risk Quantification
- Modelling hazardous phenomena.
- Experience with PHAST software.
- Strong background in Bow-Tie methodology and detailed risk analysis.
2. Safety Engineering
- Fire protection engineering (e.g., water demand calculations, fire plans).
- Fire & gas detection system knowledge.
- Experience conducting ATEX zoning studies.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial safety or risk assessment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Languages: French and English (professional proficiency).
- Proactive involvement in HSE culture and adherence to safety procedures.

- Risk modelling reports and safety engineering calculations.

- ATEX zoning and classification documentation.
- Meeting participation notes and follow?up documentation.
- All documents delivered in English using the required project software tools.
