Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer / Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling activities for major offshore / FPSO projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure efficient execution across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, maintain, and oversee integrated project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather inputs and define milestones.
3. Monitor project progress, identify delays and risks, and implement corrective actions.
4. Prepare and manage progress reports, including schedule updates, earned value analysis (EVA), and performance metrics.
5. Analyze project trends and provide forecasting and strategic insights to support decision-making.
6. Lead planning meetings, workshops, and schedule reviews to ensure stakeholder alignment.
7. Ensure adherence to industry standards, project requirements, and HSSE policies.
8. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior planning engineers.
9. Support continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in project planning within the oil & gas / offshore / EPC industry
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (preferred) or equivalent planning tools
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning)
• Experience working on large-scale offshore, FPSO, or EPC projects is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multicultural project teams
