About the Role
The Engineering Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Engineering Project Manager in the execution and delivery of engineering scopes throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Working across multiple engineering disciplines, this position plays a key role in coordinating engineering deliverables, managing interfaces, and supporting project objectives to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering Project Manager in managing engineering activities, deliverables, schedules, and work-hour budgets.
- Coordinate engineering disciplines to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project quality requirements.
- Monitor engineering progress and support the identification of potential risks, issues, and corrective actions.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Support interface management activities across engineering teams and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, classification societies, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in tracking engineering deliverables and reporting project status to project management.
- Support change management activities and assess impacts on engineering scope, schedule, and project execution.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented throughout project execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree / Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience within the Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, Marine, or EPC industry.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through execution.
- Familiarity with engineering coordination, project execution, and interface management processes.
- Experience working with clients, contractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of engineering deliverables, project schedules, and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
