Applications Engineer
- Perth Based (4 days office, 1 day WFH)
- 12-months casual contract
- 5 days/week, 8 hrs/day
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to provide end?to?end application stewardship and technical leadership within the Australia – Integration Production Management space, with a strong focus on hydrocarbon accounting and production management systems.
In this role, you will act as the primary conduit between business stakeholders, digital delivery teams, and managed service providers ensuring applications are fit for purpose, operationally sustainable, and aligned to business priorities. You will play a key role in shaping solutions, guiding delivery, and ensuring applications operate effectively in live production environments.
This position requires deep domain expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate business needs into technically viable solutions while managing operational risk and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end?to?end stewardship of applications within the hydrocarbon accounting and production management domain
- Act as the central link between business teams, digital delivery, and managed service providers
- Translate business requirements into technical design and solution outcomes
- Ensure applications are operationally sustainable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities
- Support continual improvement, risk management, and solution optimisation across the application landscape
- Engage with key business areas including Marine Operations, Domestic Gas, Production Planning, Lifting Coordinators, and Commercial Operations
Qualifications

Deep technical and functional knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting systems
(Energy Components, Quintiq Macroplanner) - Azure technology expertise – Logic Apps, SQL, .NET, APIs
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and solution outcomes
- Experience driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Agile/DevOps delivery practices
