. This is a

M-F schedule.

Our team of Asset Integrity Technologists and Engineers implements a wide variety of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management technologies to ensure our Asset Integrity Programs are executed with optimal effectiveness. These roles interface closely with Safety, Engineering, and Operations groups while gaining exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity for pipelines, pressure equipment, tanks, and structural components.

The 

Asset Integrity Technologist

 will have the opportunity to deal with a wide variety of assets for the full life-cycle from design and commissioning through to close-down, and decommissioning means utilizing and developing your expertise across a broad range of processes, workflows and technologies. There is also the opportunity for real career development and to taking ownership and responsibility for your own production area.   

Key Accountabilities:

  • Apply risk assessment methodologies to ensure the company's assets remain at a tolerable level with respect to safety, environmental impact, compliance, reliability, and economic loss

  • Ensure all aspects of the company's Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Systems and Tank Integrity Management System are executed

  • Maintain alignment with Field Operations on turnarounds to ensure pressure vessel, tank & PSV regulatory inspections/servicing occur as required, either by the use of a 5-Year Planner or similar means

  • Plan, coordinate and execute the following:

    • Pressure Vessel Inspections

    • Tank Internal Inspections

    • Vessel & Tank Coating

    • Vessel & Tank Repairs

  • Manage and assist Pressure Vessel and Tank repair

  • Participate in Turnarounds while working directly with operations to provide direct field support

  • Review pressure vessel & tank inspection reports and determine go-forward integrity management strategy

  • Facilitate meetings between Field Integrity, Field Operations (Superintendents, Technical Leaders, Foremen) to ensure ongoing alignment on area-specific integrity goals, corporate integrity goals and to ensure that adequate resources are available

  • Work with Facility Engineering and Production Groups to ensure that required integrity-management elements are in place at the design stage

  • Work with Facility Engineering and Production Groups to evaluate the integrity impact of Production/Operational changes

  • Work with other Asset Integrity team members, Operations, Production, Engineering, and Management to deliver effective Asset Integrity Management programs that address all Asset Integrity threats. Such programs include but are not limited to:

    • Corrosion control programs

    • Inspection programs

    • Monitoring programs

    • Metallurgical upgrades

    • Design/process changes

    • Detection and measurement systems

  • Proactively analyze inspection results, failure investigation findings, risk assessment results, and process conditions to ensure that key degradation mechanisms are understood and that appropriate mitigation and monitoring techniques are in place

  • Develop and maintain inspection schedules to aid in annual budgeting

  • Reconcile and update the company's equipment inventory databases

  • Co-ordinate maintenance activities, including repair procedures, to minimize downtime

  • Work with vendors to ensure reporting is accurate and timely

  • Attend Corporate Integrity Network Meetings

  • Liaise with regulators 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of related oil and gas industry experience

  • A relevant technical degree or diploma with professional or certified designation would be considered an asset

  • API 510 certification would be considered an asset

  • NACE/AMPP/ABSA certifications or courses would be considered an asset

  • Familiarity with and understanding of:

    • Relevant safety standards and environmental regulations

    • Upstream facility experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and integrity management software systems such as Accumap, Maxi-Trak, Abacus, or Maximo

  • Self-starter and strong analytical skills are required

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and excellent safety attitude
