Role Overview
This position is responsible for supporting industrial automation projects through hands-on electrical work, including system assessment, documentation updates, and assembly of automation equipment. The role combines on-site troubleshooting and practical electrical build work with office-based documentation, contributing to the delivery of innovative automation solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
Carry out on-site assessments of existing industrial automation systems and electrical installations
Update and maintain electrical documentation based on real plant conditions
Work with EPLAN or similar systems to produce and revise schematics and drawings
Build and assemble electrical cabinets and automation equipment
Perform wiring, installation, and testing of electrical components and systems
Support commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems on-site
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate system implementation
Provide practical input to improve system design and build quality
Ensure all work complies with relevant industrial standards and safety requirements
Balance responsibilities between site-based activities and office-based documentation work
Requirements
5+ years’ experience within industrial sectors (must be plant/industrial environments, not building services)
Strong experience using EPLAN or similar electrical design/documentation tools
Ability to attend sites, assess live systems, and translate findings into accurate drawings
Proven experience in building and assembling electrical cabinets and automation equipment
Hands-on, practical skillset with the ability to work independently on installations
Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and electrical components
Comfortable working both on-site and in an office environment
Fluent English; Scandinavian language skills (Swedish or Danish) are a plus
