Role Overview

This position is responsible for supporting industrial automation projects through hands-on electrical work, including system assessment, documentation updates, and assembly of automation equipment. The role combines on-site troubleshooting and practical electrical build work with office-based documentation, contributing to the delivery of innovative automation solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site assessments of existing industrial automation systems and electrical installations

  • Update and maintain electrical documentation based on real plant conditions

  • Work with EPLAN or similar systems to produce and revise schematics and drawings

  • Build and assemble electrical cabinets and automation equipment

  • Perform wiring, installation, and testing of electrical components and systems

  • Support commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems on-site

  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate system implementation

  • Provide practical input to improve system design and build quality

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industrial standards and safety requirements

  • Balance responsibilities between site-based activities and office-based documentation work

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience within industrial sectors (must be plant/industrial environments, not building services)

  • Strong experience using EPLAN or similar electrical design/documentation tools

  • Ability to attend sites, assess live systems, and translate findings into accurate drawings

  • Proven experience in building and assembling electrical cabinets and automation equipment

  • Hands-on, practical skillset with the ability to work independently on installations

  • Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and electrical components

  • Comfortable working both on-site and in an office environment

  • Fluent English; Scandinavian language skills (Swedish or Danish) are a plus
