One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Business Analyst IV to work on a 12-month assignment in their facilities in Houston, TX.
Summary:
The Business Analyst (Contract) will provide structured support to the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) in coordinating communication, analysis, and reporting between TIS departments and business stakeholders. This role is responsible for gathering information, preparing executive quality presentations, conducting stakeholder surveys, organizing feedback into actionable plans, and assisting in the development of strategy and policy documentation. The position requires strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional and organized manner.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with TIS departments to collect updates, metrics, and relevant operational or strategic information.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely information flow.
Conduct stakeholder surveys, interviews, and structured feedback sessions.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and dashboards for BRM and leadership review.
Maintain progress tracking for initiatives, action items, and commitments.
Presentation & Documentation Development
Develop high quality presentations for leadership, steering committees, and stakeholder groups.
Draft strategy documents, policy materials, governance proposals, and related documentation.
Translate technical information into concise, business focused narratives.
Action Planning & Follow Through
Organize stakeholder feedback into structured action plans with defined owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
Monitor execution of action plans and escalate issues or delays as appropriate.
Maintain documentation repositories, decision logs, and communication records.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and interpretation of business or technical information.
Advanced presentation development skills, including the ability to create executive ready materials.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholder groups.
Proven ability to organize complex information and convert feedback into structured action plans
Experience working in IT, digital services, or TIS related environments preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
