Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support growth across UK fabrication and site services. This role focuses on identifying and securing new business, developing client relationships, and maximising utilisation of fabrication and site-based capabilities.

Working closely with workshop, project, and site teams, you will play a key role in converting opportunities into profitable, executable work while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a business development strategy focused on fabrication, pipework, structural steel, and E&I services

  • Identify and win new business, frameworks, and long-term service agreements

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key commercial contact

  • Support and lead ITT, RFQ, and tender submissions in coordination with operational teams

  • Develop pricing and commercial strategies aligned with capacity, cost, and margin targets

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and reporting

  • Work closely with workshop and site teams to ensure effective handover from bid to execution

  • Ensure all new work is assessed for safety, quality, and deliverability

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Development or Sales within fabrication, engineering, industrial services, or manufacturing

  • Strong local market knowledge and based in or near the Humberside / Grimsby region

  • Proven track record of winning new business in a technical or operational environment

  • Good understanding of fabrication and site-based services

  • Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting pricing and tendering

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and senior stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel as required
