We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth across our tools and equipment rental operations in Aberdeen and the wider UK region.

This is a pivotal commercial role focused on expanding the customer base, securing long-term agreements, and delivering revenue growth across key sectors including oil and gas, renewables, and construction. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in strengthening market presence and positioning the business as a trusted rental partner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company goals

  • Identify and win new business and long-term contracts

  • Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities across the UK

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact

  • Understand customer needs and deliver value-driven solutions

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery

  • Lead the sales lifecycle from strategy through to close

  • Support ITT, tendering, and pricing activities

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and reporting

  • Support brand visibility and market engagement initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across sales and operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales or business development

  • 5+ years’ experience in tools, plant, or equipment hire (highly desirable, not a necessity)

  • Proven track record of winning new business and exceeding targets

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies

  • Experience supporting or leading tender submissions, pricing, and commercial negotiations

  • Experience managing regional or UK-wide sales territories

  • Experience mentoring or leading sales personnel

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

  • Proficient in Salesforce and CSP platforms

  • Willingness to travel up to 80% across the UK
