Certification Engineer
Duration: ASAP til 30th September 2026
Location: Site based, Shetland
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Position Overview
This position is focused on supporting the implementation of a major project's Completions process in line with the System Handover Management Procedure. Reporting directly to the Completions Manager, the role will be responsible for maintaining critical system and sub-system handover documentation, driving Mechanical Completion activities, ensuring process consistency, and supporting the achievement of key project milestones. The successful candidate will contribute to daily completions meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding project issues and maintain visibility of progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) from the completions database (Orbit OCCMS), process completed ITRs, and manage all related documentation.
- Prepare and maintain system and sub-system handover dossiers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to agreed processes and workflows.
- Support and help lead daily completions meetings alongside the Completions Manager to drive activities, identify blockers, and communicate issues to project leadership.
- Produce regular status reports in the defined format to provide clarity on system handovers and progress against milestones.
- Coordinate with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, and Operations teams to facilitate timely handovers and resolve issues impacting schedule adherence.
- Process red-line and green-line mark-ups, maintain up-to-date dossiers, and help recover schedule slippage where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with completions databases, ideally Orbit OCCMS (experience with similar systems will also be considered).
- Proven ability to efficiently manage and update technical documentation within a project environment.
- Ability to support cross-functional meetings and communicate progress and issues effectively to wider teams.
